Dixie Maid: Your Favorite Fast Food Destination in Houston

I have been coming to Dixie Maid for over 30 years & the food is always great. Burgers, shakes & my favorite is the fried shrimp! The owner, John, always provides great service & he looks the same as he did when I was a kid!

Had basically ordered something that was custom but just with everything on the menu and was very well received wasn't rude about anything and was very forthcoming with helping and just making sure that the time was overall good. I had ordered a double cheeseburger with bacon and egg and when I tell you that they were so nice and when I received the food it was so delicious never have I had anything as good as that. Really quite well-made burger for not an expensive cost. The atmosphere made it feel like you had traveled back in time before the digital era and could escape from it currently. Such a good place that even the chef coming out to clean, asked if we had enjoy the food and with a big grin on our faces able to say yes thank you sir that was wonderful. Definitely family-friendly Place fries are up to you to season.

The atmosphere at Dixie Maid has never been amazing, so I don't think that category really applies here. Many years ago they use to have a Galaga video game that my husband and kids played all the time, but it's been gone for a while. Now, the food is another story. It's that cheeseburger, fries and soda that is consistently delicious. I use to get the fried shrimp and fried rice, but there was always too much grease floating at the bottom of the rice and I couldn't eat it anymore. My husband still enjoys the double cheeseburger and the steak sandwich.

Brought back memories to eat at Dixie Maid. I remember getting ice cream cones back when I lived in the neighborhood. But this time I ordered a double cheeseburger and ate the whole damn thing since it was really good. And it's a big burger guys. I also ordered onion rings which were big and crunchy but would have been better with ranch. Although without ranch I figured out how good onion rings are with ketchup try it!!! my cousin ordered a root beer float and we shared it. Definitely should have ordered two separate ones sooooo good. Great prices.good food. Eat at Dixie Maid for a simple satisfying meal.

YOU GUYS!!! The food was so GOOD and fresh for the price!! Awesome portions. John is a great nice guy that has been there for decades. It’s 100% the location and the look of the building however, his regulars keep him going. He deserves more he deserves to upgrade his restaurant. It’s not obvious that it’s a Burger place initially. There is a little Mexican market not even a mile away as well that is amazing with super amazing prices. “Sol Supermarket and Taqueria”

The owner is awesome. He takes care of you from start to finish. His restaurant reminds me of when I was a little boy and enjoyed going with my grandfather. The burgers and fries are amazing. There wasn't really a wait either. The restaurant needs some updating but if and when he does. I hope it doesn't take away from the old school diner feel.

Love to stop here when in the area. Mom n pop type spot. ALWAYS CLEAN in dining area, clean, neat and organized in the kitchen area. I like the options for small appetites so it is easy to feed kids or light eaters. Burgers, Fish, chicken fried steak sandwiches are always cooked and prepared to order. Also have dairy products like Banana split, floats and shakes that are served by people with a friendly attitude and smiles. Great spot for lunch if you're in the area.
